Template

Automate social media posting without losing the approval step

This design drafts channel-specific posts from a blog post or announcement, checks them against your rules, and publishes only after the account owner approves. No ready-made posting workflow exists in the library today, so this page is the shape to build.

No workflow, chatflow or MCP server in the library publishes to a social channel. The library has a post-drafting prompt and social integrations, which are support rather than a template.

No template covers this job yet. The steps below are the shape we would build and the shape you can build in Studio yourself.

The job

What this template does

Social posting is small work done often, which is why it goes wrong. A post is written in a hurry, a link is wrong, a claim slips in that legal never saw. The owner is the brand or communications lead, and they want regular posts without reading every word of every draft at ten at night.

The design keeps the speed and puts a person at the one point that matters, the moment before publishing. An agent turns a source item into drafts for each channel. A code step checks length, links and banned phrases. The account owner approves, edits or rejects, and the post goes out through the integration with the identifiers recorded.

Workflow

The workflow, step by step

Steps marked as approval gates pause the run until a named person approves. Nothing after a gate runs before that decision, and the decision is recorded.

  1. 01

    Pick the source item

A new blog post, a product note or a row in your content calendar starts the run. The flow stores the source link and text. It posts nothing from material it cannot trace back to a source item.
  2. 02

    Draft per channel

An agent writes one draft for each channel in the brief, sized and toned for that channel, from the source text only. It adds no facts beyond the source. The drafts, with the source link, go to the check.
  3. 03

    Check the drafts

A code step tests length, link format, required disclosure lines and a list of phrases you ban. It flags any draft that makes a claim not found in the source. Failing drafts return to the agent once, then stop with a note.
  4. 04

    Account owner approves

The Studio approval step pauses the run for the named account owner, who sees each draft beside the source and approves, edits or rejects it. If two people run an account, assign the approver who did not request the post.Approval gate: a named person approves before the next step runs.
  5. 05

    Publish or schedule

After approval the flow publishes through the channel integration, or schedules at the time in the brief. If the channel refuses the post, the run stops and a person is told. The channel's post identifier returns to the run, so the post can be found and, if needed, taken down by a person.
  6. 06

    Route replies to a person

Mentions and replies are collected and sent to a person in your chat tool. The flow does not reply on its own. The replies are listed against the post they belong to, newest first, with the author and the time each arrived.
  7. 07

    Record the post

The run keeps the source item, drafts, check results, approver, edits made, publish time and post identifiers, so a later question about why a post said what it said can be answered from the run, without asking anyone to remember.

Connections

Integrations this flow uses

  • Slack: Where the approver is alerted and replies are listed.

The full list of tools Studio connects to is on the integrations page.

Before you start

What you supply, and what this page does not cover

  • Each channel sets its own API access, posting limits and rules. You must hold the account permissions and read those rules; this page does not state them.
  • You supply the banned phrases, disclosure lines and brand voice notes.
  • Image and video creation is not covered. The flow drafts text.
  • Because no workflow template exists, you build the flow in Studio yourself.

Common questions

Can it post straight to my accounts without review?
It can if you remove the approval step, but this design keeps it. A published post is public and hard to take back. For a personal account with low stakes you may choose otherwise; for a company account, we would keep the gate.
Is there a ready-made posting workflow in the library?
No. The library has a prompt for drafting posts and integrations for several channels, but no workflow that publishes. This page is the design for one, which you can assemble in Studio.
Will the posts sound like us?
Only if you give the agent your voice notes and some past posts to match. It writes from the source item and your notes. Read the first batch closely, and tighten the notes where drafts miss.
How does this relate to an AI social media tool?
Dedicated tools bundle scheduling and analytics. This flow is a governed path from source to approved post, built on your own channels and rules. It suits teams who need an approval trail more than a calendar.

Build this in Studio

Describe what you need in plain language. Studio builds the agents and workflows, and you keep every version.
