Salesforce Agentforce Alternatives (October 2026)

TL;DR: Agentforce is Salesforce’s AI agent platform, built on its CRM and data layer and priced in Flex Credits, per conversation or per user. Swfte Studio is a builder for agents and workflows that is not tied to one CRM. If your work lives in Salesforce, Agentforce is the closer fit; consider Swfte when the agents span systems.

About Salesforce Agentforce and why teams compare it

Salesforce describes Agentforce as the AI agent platform that delivers 24/7 autonomous support at enterprise scale, across web, phone and app channels. Its own pages describe a low-code agent builder, the Atlas Reasoning Engine, agent actions built from Flows, Prompts, Apex and MuleSoft APIs, grounding in Salesforce CRM data and Data 360, a testing centre and observability. Salesforce’s platform pages now call the underlying platform the Agentforce 360 Platform. Teams compare it with Swfte when they want agents that work across several systems rather than mainly inside Salesforce, or when they want pricing by plan rather than by credit or conversation. This page compares the two on published facts and says who should pick which.

Salesforce Agentforce sits in the CRM-native AI agent platform category. In short: Salesforce’s AI agent platform: a low-code agent builder, a reasoning engine and a trust layer that sit on Salesforce CRM data, with agents deployed across web, messaging, voice and apps. Pricing as published is As listed on the Agentforce pricing page: Salesforce Foundations $0. Flex Credits $500 per 100,000 credits (an Agentforce action is 20 Flex Credits, a voice action 30). Conversations $2 each. Agentforce add-ons $125 per user per month; Industries add-ons $150; Max editions from $550 per user per month; Agentforce User License $5 per user per month with metered usage. Buying models: Pre-Purchase, Pre-Commit and PayGo. Prices are listed in several currencies. It is best for Salesforce customers who want agents that act on CRM data, cases and workflows inside the Salesforce platform.

Who should pick which

Pick Salesforce Agentforce if

  • Your customer data, cases and processes already live in Salesforce and you want agents that act on them directly, with Flows, Apex and Data 360 as the building blocks.
  • You want a vendor-supplied testing centre and observability inside the same platform as your CRM.
  • You already run Salesforce with Enterprise Edition or above and want Salesforce-hosted MCP servers and a Salesforce-managed trust layer.
  • You prefer one contract and one security review through Salesforce, whose compliance site lists a SOC 2 report that names Agentforce.

Pick Swfte if

  • Your agents and workflows span several systems and you do not want them centred on one CRM.
  • You want pricing by plan (Free, Pro $39, Team $99 with 3 users included) rather than Flex Credits, per-conversation fees or per-user add-ons, and you will check how model usage is billed.
  • You want testing, versioned releases and rollbacks in the build flow, with the Connect model gateway behind the same builder.
  • You are comfortable with Swfte’s current gaps: SAML SSO and SCIM are in development, dedicated or private deployment is scoped as an engagement and is not self-serve, and the integration catalogue is smaller.

What Salesforce Agentforce does well

  • Agents are grounded in Salesforce CRM data and Data 360, with Flows, Prompts, Apex and MuleSoft APIs available as agent actions, per Salesforce
  • A free Salesforce Foundations tier at $0 that includes Agentforce Builder, Prompt Builder and Agent Script
  • A Testing Center that generates test cases, plus Agentforce Observability, and a documented route for moving agents from sandbox to production with the Salesforce CLI
  • A Salesforce SOC 2 report that names Einstein Platform and Agentforce on Hyperforce, and a stated zero data retention policy with third-party model providers

Trade-offs to weigh

  • Pricing has several units at once (Flex Credits, per-conversation, per-user add-ons), so forecasting a bill takes modelling, and the pricing page does not define what counts as a conversation
  • The platform is built around Salesforce: agent actions run through Flows, Apex, Prompts and MuleSoft, so the skills and data it assumes are Salesforce skills and data
  • Salesforce’s MCP support page uses future-tense wording ("will provide"), so read the current status of the MCP client with your account team
  • Per-user add-ons are listed from $125 per user per month, and the Max editions from $550 per user per month, which is a different cost shape from a seat-light builder

When Swfte is the better choice

When your agents and workflows are not centred on Salesforce, you want one builder across systems with evaluation, versioned releases and a model gateway on the same platform, and you do not want to price by conversation or Flex Credit. If your data and processes live in Salesforce, Agentforce has the closer fit.

Swfte Studio builds agents and workflows visually and is not tied to one CRM. It uses the Connect gateway for model access, so routing, failover and cost tracking are shared. Studio lists testing and evaluation, semantic versions with rollbacks, and human-approval steps in workflows. Nexus adds agent governance.

Swfte is not a drop-in replacement for Agentforce. Agentforce is built on Salesforce data and processes, while Studio is not tied to one CRM. Swfte is also earlier on enterprise identity: SAML SSO and SCIM are in development, dedicated or private deployment is an engagement, not self-serve, and the integration catalogue is smaller.

Where Swfte fits

Agents across several systems

Workflows that read from a ticketing tool, a database and a CRM, then decide the next step, fit Studio’s agent builder and its 100+ tool integrations plus an API.

Tested and versioned agent releases

Studio lists A/B experiments between chatflow versions and version rollback, with golden sets, regression runs and release channels in development around the model steps.

One platform for agents and model access

Studio uses the Connect gateway, so routing, failover and cost tracking are shared with the workflows that use them.

Keep Agentforce for the CRM core

Few Salesforce customers need a full switch. Keep Agentforce for agents that live inside Salesforce records and use Swfte where the work crosses systems.

How to migrate from Salesforce Agentforce to Swfte

  1. 1. List your agents and what each one touches

Note for each Agentforce agent which Flows, Apex actions, prompts and Data 360 objects it uses. Agents that depend on Salesforce internals are the hardest to move; agents that call outside systems are easier.

  2. 2. Record current usage and cost

Pull your Flex Credit, conversation and add-on usage from your own Salesforce billing, so you have a baseline. The units differ from Swfte’s plans, so compare on your own workload rather than on list prices.

  3. 3. Retrieve agent metadata as a record

Salesforce documents retrieving an agent’s metadata to a local project with the Salesforce CLI. We do not list an import for that format into Swfte, so use it as a record of instructions, topics and actions to rebuild.

  4. 4. Rebuild one agent in Studio

Recreate the instructions, tools and any approval step for one agent. Studio’s free plan includes 10 workflows, 5 agents and 2,000 executions per month, enough to test one case.

  5. 5. Test on real inputs, then run both

Run 20 to 50 real inputs through Studio’s testing and compare with the Agentforce agent. Then route live traffic to both for a while and compare answers, escalations and cost.

  6. 6. Cut over what fits

Move the agents that span systems once results hold, and keep Salesforce-native agents where they are. Adjust your Salesforce purchase only after usage has dropped.

How Salesforce Agentforce compares to other alternatives

Other agent platforms worth comparing are Copilot Studio (Microsoft’s agent builder), Glean and Dust (agents over company knowledge) and Retool (internal tools with agents). Each has its own page in the alternatives index.

Frequently asked questions about Salesforce Agentforce alternatives

Is Swfte an Agentforce alternative?

For agents and workflows that span several systems, yes. For agents that live inside Salesforce CRM data and processes, Agentforce is the closer fit, because it is built on that platform. Many teams use both.

How much does Agentforce cost?

Salesforce lists Foundations at $0, Flex Credits at $500 per 100,000 credits, conversations at $2 each, Agentforce add-ons at $125 per user per month, Industries add-ons at $150, Max editions from $550 per user per month, and an Agentforce User License at $5 per user per month with metered usage. It also lists Pre-Purchase, Pre-Commit and PayGo buying models. Prices are shown in several currencies.

Is there a free Agentforce plan?

Salesforce lists Salesforce Foundations at $0, including Agentforce Builder, Prompt Builder, Agent Script, Agentforce Coworker and Agentforce Vibes. The pricing page does not state the limits of the free tier.

What is a Flex Credit?

Flex Credits are Salesforce’s consumption unit for Agentforce. The pricing page lists an Agentforce action as 20 Flex Credits and an Agentforce Voice action as 30, at $500 per 100,000 credits. Check the current terms with Salesforce before you forecast.

Can I import my Agentforce agents into Swfte?

No. We do not list an import for Agentforce agents. Salesforce lets you retrieve agent metadata with the Salesforce CLI and deploy it to another Salesforce org, which is useful as a record of what to rebuild in Studio.

Can I self-host Agentforce?

We did not find a self-hosted edition on the pages we reviewed. Salesforce describes Agentforce as running on its Hyperforce architecture on public cloud infrastructure, with data residency options. Swfte Studio is also a managed service; dedicated or private deployment is scoped as an engagement, not self-serve.

Does Agentforce support MCP?

Salesforce describes Agentforce as a native MCP client for third-party MCP servers, in future-tense wording on its MCP page, and announced Salesforce hosted MCP servers as generally available in April 2026 for Enterprise Edition orgs and above. Confirm the current status for your edition with Salesforce. For how Swfte approaches MCP, see our MCP gateway guide.

Does Agentforce use my data to train models?

Salesforce says that under its zero data retention policy, prompts and generated responses are never stored or used to train the underlying third-party large language models. Read the terms in your own agreement. For Swfte, see the trust centre; we do not make a no-training claim on this page.

Which is better for compliance?

Salesforce’s compliance site lists a SOC 2 report for Einstein Platform and Agentforce on Hyperforce and offers ISO 27001 documents for download. Swfte does not hold a SOC 2 report or an ISO 27001 certificate and does not sign HIPAA BAAs today; a SOC 2 Type I audit is in preparation, and the trust page has the current status. Ask each vendor for its documents and confirm scope for your use case.
