What the Free plan includes
Make’s pricing page, read on 7 October 2026, shows the Free plan at $0 a month and says there is no time limit on it. The plan card lists 1,000 credits a month, the no-code visual workflow builder, 3,000+ apps, routers and filters, customer support and a 15-minute minimum interval between runs.
The plan comparison table on the same page adds the limits that matter in daily use: a maximum of 2 active scenarios, a maximum scenario execution time of 5 minutes, a maximum file size of 5 MB, 512 MB of data transfer and 7 days of execution log storage.

How Make counts credits
Make’s help centre says credits are the currency you buy and consume to use Make. For non-AI apps and third-party AI apps, 1 operation equals 1 credit. For Make’s built-in AI apps the cost varies, and for some it depends on tokens as well as operations. Only features triggered by scenario runs, and the AI agent’s chat, use credits.
When credits run out, the pricing page says your scenarios will not continue to run until credits are added, and that Make notifies you at 75% and again at 90% of your purchased credits. Credits expire at the end of the term. The help centre says buying extra credits is available to users on paid plans, so a Free user who runs out must wait for the next month or upgrade.
A worked example: will 1,000 credits last a month?
Take a scenario that watches a form for new entries, adds a row to a spreadsheet and posts a message to a team chat. If the trigger and the two actions each count as one operation, one run uses three credits, and 1,000 credits cover about 333 runs a month, or roughly 11 a day.
Two things change that estimate. A scenario that loops over many records runs its modules once per record, so one run can use dozens of credits. And how a scheduled trigger counts when it finds nothing new is set out in Make’s own help centre, which we did not verify for this page. Run the scenario for a few days and read the credit counter before you rely on the arithmetic.
The 15-minute minimum interval also caps a scheduled scenario at 96 checks a day, so the Free plan suits work where a delay of a quarter of an hour is acceptable.
When the Free plan stops being enough
The usual triggers are a third scenario, a need to run more often than every 15 minutes, a run that takes longer than 5 minutes, or a file larger than 5 MB. Debugging can also force the issue, because Free keeps execution logs for 7 days.
On the pricing page read on 7 October 2026, Core is shown at $9 a month for 10,000 credits a month, with unlimited active scenarios, scheduling down to the minute, higher data transfer limits and access to the Make API. Pro is shown at $16 and Teams at $29, each for 10,000 credits a month, and Enterprise has custom pricing. The page has a pay monthly or pay annually switch and says annual billing saves 15% or more, so check which billing a price reflects before you compare it.
How Swfte relates
Not a Swfte feature
Make is a separate product, and this page reports only what Make publishes. Swfte Studio, which builds agents and workflows with approval steps, also has a Free plan: Swfte’s pricing page lists 10 workflows, 5 AI agents and 2,000 executions a month. Studio counts executions and Make counts credits, so the two allowances do not convert one to one.
Common questions
- Does the Make Free plan expire?
- Make’s pricing page, read on 7 October 2026, says there is no time limit on the Free plan. The monthly allowance of 1,000 credits renews each month, and unused credits expire at the end of the term, so an allowance you do not use is not carried forward to the next month.
- What happens when the free credits run out?
- Make’s pricing page says your scenarios will not continue to run until credits are added, and that Make warns you at 75% and 90% of your credits. The help centre says extra credits can be bought on paid plans, so on Free you wait for the next month or upgrade.
- How often can a scenario run on the Free plan?
- The Free plan sets a 15-minute minimum interval between scheduled runs, according to Make’s pricing page read on 7 October 2026. Make’s help centre says a scenario runs every 15 minutes by default and that the shortest interval depends on your plan. Core lowers the minimum to one minute.
- Do I need a credit card to use the Free plan?
- The pricing page we read on 7 October 2026 did not say whether a card is needed to sign up for the Free plan, so we have not verified it. Check Make’s sign-up page, and note that extra credits are sold only on paid plans, according to Make’s help centre.
- Is one credit the same as one operation?
- For most apps, yes. Make’s help centre says 1 operation equals 1 credit for non-AI apps and third-party AI apps. Make’s built-in AI apps are different: their credit cost varies, and for some it depends on the tokens used as well as the operations, so AI-heavy scenarios use credits faster.
