Formula: people × weekly hours × share of time released × 52 ÷ 12 × loaded hourly cost. Monthly net capacity value subtracts the monthly operating cost. First-year net value also subtracts the one-off implementation cost. Payback divides the implementation cost by the monthly net value, and reports “Not reached” when that net value is not positive. The estimate excludes quality changes, risk, tax and the cost of redeploying released capacity.
